Data Protection Law Specialist

Looking for a challenging role in data protection law? G2 Legal Limited is seeking a qualified solicitor with experience in GDPR compliance to join our team in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients on data protection laws and regulations, drafting and negotiating data processing agreements, and managing data breaches. A strong analytical mindset and commercial awareness are essential for this role.
We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for career growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on GDPR, privacy laws and compliance
- Draft and negotiate data processing agreements and privacy documents
- Manage data breaches and SARs and liaise with regulators
- Conduct gap analyses and create compliance plans
- Stay up to date with data protection laws and provide advice
Requirements:
- A qualified solicitor in Scotland with experience in data protection
- Strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset
- An interest in technology and evolving digital regulations
- A proactive approach to solving problems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
