About the Role:

This Contract Law Specialist role involves providing high-quality legal services that make a real difference. Our client's Edinburgh-based Legal office is looking for a skilled Solicitor to join their team until October 2025.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert legal advice and support on corporate matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and organisational policies.
  • Manage the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and mitigate legal risks.
  • Offer guidance on complex corporate law issues, including governance, compliance, and risk management strategies.
  • Assist with Freedom of Information Scotland Act (FOISA) requests, UK GDPR compliance, and related data protection matters to uphold accountability and legal standards.
  • Ensure legal oversight and risk management in procurement activities, safeguarding organisational interests.
Requirements:
  • Hold 1-2 years PQE with a valid practising certificate issued by the Law Society of Scotland.
  • Prior experience in public law and one or more of the following legal skills: contract, procurement, FOISA, DPA/UK GDPR compliance.
  • Able to advise on compliance and legal risks.
  • Create a collaborative working culture and possess excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills with a clear communication style.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
Estimated Annual Salary:

£62,000 - £82,000.
