About the Role

The William Way LGBT Community Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Development Officer to lead our comprehensive development and communications program. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the evaluation, execution, and strategy of our fundraising efforts, as well as managing a team of development professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan, aligning with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of development professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and other senior leaders to develop and implement a strategic plan for the development department.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns, events, and communications strategies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of comprehensive fundraising and communications experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends, and incorporate them into a long-term plan.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
What We Offer

The William Way LGBT Community Center offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $120,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and a 401K plan. We are an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
