Environmental Product Line Lead

AIG is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the UK Environmental product line, driving sustainable profit within target appetite and underwriting controls and governance. This role will involve developing and executing the UK Environmental strategy, working closely with the London Casualty Manager & Head of International Environmental.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute UK Environmental strategy and P&L, including production and profitability through targeted Must Win Battles in collaboration with the London Casualty Manager & Head of International Environmental.
  • Understand and drive the AIG Value Proposition to clients and brokers by integrating claims, engineering/CRS and multinational capabilities into day-to-day underwriting practices.
  • Lead the UK Environmental underwriting teams, driving consistent underwriting best practices and adherence to underwriting guidelines and pricing guardrails.
  • Ensure audits, quality reviews and peer reviews are robustly monitored and measured, including implementation of action steps to improve underwriting results.
  • Oversee portfolio management to direct strategic underwriting decisions, ensuring financial and underwriting objectives are achieved in collaboration with the UK Casualty Leadership team.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the UK Environmental insurance market.
  • Proven relationships within the UK Environmental market.
  • Broad-based Environmental underwriting experience.
  • Ability to manage, direct, coach and develop a team of professional staff.
