About the Role

Northern Gas and Power, a leading international energy consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the production of monthly management accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of Assistant Management Accountants and a Finance Assistant
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts with insightful commentary and analysis
  • Produce the Group consolidated accounts and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Report key KPIs and assist the Finance Manager with forecasting
  • Process and submit quarterly VAT returns in the UK and Malta
  • Liaise with external auditors and provide advice to the purchase ledger department

Requirements

  • Newly or fully qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA
  • Experience of meeting tight deadlines and excellent Excel skills
  • Desirable: experience of SAP By Design and international company experience

What We Offer

  • Up to £50,000 salary (depending on experience)
  • Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm with flexibility required
  • Enhanced annual leave including additional time off in December
  • Permanent contract
