Job Title: Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

We are working with a long-standing client of ours who specializes in the aviation industry and is seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to manage supply chain, purchasing, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality, as well as maintaining inventory and purchasing data within the ERP system and related databases.



The successful candidate will develop the company's inventory management strategy to control costs within budgetary limits, generate savings, rationalize inventory, and maximize available working capital. Key responsibilities include:




  • Optimizing purchasing, materials storage, and inventory via the ERP system
  • Implementing improved processes and systems to reduce inventory through the removal of obsolete/redundant inventory, minimization of overstocks, and maximization of working capital
  • Planning and developing strategy for supply chain initiatives and budget requirements
  • Driving Continuous Improvement within the Supply Chain to deliver productivity and efficiency improvements
  • Managing and maintaining the company's inventory and non-inventory (consumable) items, including stock profiles, safety stock/re-order levels, and locations
  • Managing and controlling perpetual inventory stock counting/inventory accuracy checks to achieve targets and ensure conformance with audit/regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring that Supply Chain staff are appropriately trained and developed in accordance with industry best practice, procedures/regulations, and any relevant qualifications
  • Ensuring that the stores/warehouses across the Interiors business units are efficient, meeting the needs of individual units, and are controlled in accordance with Health and Safety/regulatory requirements
  • Assisting Finance in matters relating to HMRC and the import/export of parts and materials


The ideal candidate will have experience in Supply Chain/Purchasing/Stores Management, be able to drive improvements and major new product/supply chain initiatives, and have significant commercial/product costing awareness. They will also be able to resolve problems and plan supply requirements and inventory levels, have excellent computer skills, and be proficient in ERP/inventory control systems. Additionally, they will have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and be able to carry out visits/supplier audits.
