About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Consultant - Project Controls & Performance to join our Programme Advisory team at Turner & Townsend Group.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the assessment of client environments and identify current challenges to develop a tailored solution.
  2. Develop, implement, and optimize PMO and controls & performance strategies to drive business transformation.
  3. Lead the analysis, definition, and write-up of findings and recommendations reports across various stages of the client engagement.
  4. Deliver workshops in virtual and face-to-face environments with client representatives to drive project success.
  5. Work collaboratively with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams to represent Turner & Townsend Group at client sites and virtually.
  6. Deploy established methodologies, processes, tools, and systems to suit specific client circumstances.
  7. Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of project controls & performance practices.
  8. Drive key activities within the Programme Advisory team, including internal development of transformation products and approaches.
  9. Lead business generation activities such as bids, proposals, and work closely with Senior Management and the wider Turner & Townsend team.
  10. Engage in marketing and social media campaigns (employee advocacy) to promote the company's services.
  11. Opportunity to engage in people development through being a buddy or line manager.
Requirements
  1. Experienced professional (3-5 years' experience in Project Controls) with relevant industry experience (Master's degree or equivalent experience desirable).
  2. Experience of working on major capital projects/programmes covering one or more roles within the PMO/controls & performance environment (schedule, cost, risk, change or performance reporting) in the infrastructure sector (Defense, Nuclear, Rail, Airport, Highways, Utilities) or similar.
  3. Familiarity with capability/maturity assessments across the capital delivery businesses, PMO, controls & performance or a specific function.
  4. Familiarity with supporting the development of controls & performance integrated processes and digital solutions used to create a 'one version of the truth' and enable client leadership teams to make informed decision making based on actionable intelligence.
  5. Experience with writing/presenting reports and ability to navigate through complex stakeholder environments and engage (as required) with C-suite level, executive client teams.
  6. Computer literacy in Office 365 applications, diagramming tools such as Visio, online whiteboarding tools such as Miro, team collaboration tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams or specialist controls & performance software tools such as Oracle Primavera, PRISM, Power BI or similar.
  7. Experience of business transformation programmes and change management would be advantageous.
  8. Understanding of strategy and set-up of target operating models and organisational design in the context of capital infrastructure delivery businesses, integrated controls & performance functions or PMO set-ups would be advantageous.
  9. APM, PMI or similar certification or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
