Area Sales Manager

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our highly successful and progressive client in the Northeast Region.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in developing sales through a distributor network, with experience in automotive factors, agriculture dealers, tool shops, or industrial dealers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales professional to take on a challenging role, reporting directly to the Regional Manager, with opportunities for progression within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a structured plan to visit distribution prospects and customers to grow the area
  • Prospect new accounts and present products and sales promotions to distributors to encourage repeat business
  • Provide sales training to distributor sales teams and seek new distributors
  • Capture competitive information and maintain social media communication
  • Manage diary, compile reports, and stay up-to-date with industry changes and technology
  • Work towards sales targets and attend sales meetings

Requirements:

  • Proven sales development experience through a distributor network
  • Strong networking and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of clients and acquire new business
  • Excellent presentation and training skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
