About the Role
As a Catering Supervisor with Leicestershire County Council, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school kitchens, ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to students. Your duties will include menu planning, ordering, cooking, and serving food to large groups, as well as managing a team of staff and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and training as needed
- Plan and implement menus, ensuring nutritional value and quality
- Order and manage inventory of food and supplies
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and COSHH procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
About You
We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual with a passion for delivering excellent customer service and managing a team. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a customer-facing environment, preferably in food service or hospitality
- Proven ability to manage a team and deliver training and guidance
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and COSHH procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
