We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team at G&H, a world leader in optical designing, testing, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement HSE programs, procedures, and education initiatives to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and reduce incidents.
- Support business strategy to ensure all HSE directives, policies, and initiatives are effectively incorporated at site level.
- Advise on the development, implementation, and execution of HSE annual objectives.
- Undertake annual audits/inspections of the sites in line with ISO 45001.
- Identify HSE training needs and develop appropriate resources.
- Advise on investigation of HSE incidents and lead investigation process as necessary.
- Partner with Human Resources to monitor the status of all potential Liability claims.
- Assess and recommend appropriate H&S software tools and applications.
- Ensure procedures are in place for records which enable adherence to corporate policies and/or regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree with ~5 years HSE experience in a manufacturing setting.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations including Health & Safety Executive standards and local requirements.
- ISO 14001 – Internal auditor or Lead assessor qualified.
- Knowledge and experience with ISO 45001, ISO 50001.
- NEBOSH certificate / diploma.
- Excellent organisational skills and good capability in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
