Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Conference Research Assistant to join our Editorial team at Westminster Forum Projects.

This role involves conducting research on key policy issues, identifying potential speakers and contacts, and helping to produce high-quality conferences that provide a balanced forum for discussion.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in policy, conference production, or a related field, and excellent written communication skills.

They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of diplomacy and problem-solving skills.

As a Conference Research Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of policy issues and contribute to the development of our conferences.

You will also have the chance to work closely with our senior staff and peers, and to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research on key policy issues and emerging trends
  • Identifying potential speakers and contacts for our conferences
  • Drafting agendas, invitations, and text for our website
  • Liaising with speakers and Parliamentary chairs
  • Attending and contributing to the smooth operation of our seminars and receptions

Requirements:

  • Strong background in policy, conference production, or a related field
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Quick learning abilities to absorb our funding model and business practices
  • Strong diplomacy and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
