Job Title: Research and Editorial Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Research and Editorial Assistant to join our team at Westminster Forum Projects. As a key member of our Editorial team, you will play a crucial role in helping us produce high-quality conferences on key issues in policy affecting higher education and research.

About the Role:

  • Conduct thorough research on emerging trends, policy issues, and potential speakers to inform conference content
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure conferences are up-to-date, relevant, and inclusive, with a focus on delivering exceptional results
  • Develop and maintain relationships with speakers, parliamentary chairs, and other stakeholders
  • Assist in the planning and execution of conferences, including agenda development, delegate and speaker invitations, and website content creation
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of our seminars and receptions, both online and in-person

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in policy, conference production, journalism, or a related field
  • Exceptional written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly learn and absorb our funding model and business practices
  • Strong diplomacy and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a self-motivated and proactive approach
  • A strong sense of responsibility and a willingness to support colleagues
