We are seeking an experienced and skilled finance professional to join our client, a privately owned company in the countryside near Ropley. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to step up and lead the accounts team, providing accurate financial reporting and management information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the finance function, working closely with the Financial Director and managing a small team of staff.
  • They will be required to prepare month-end management accounts and cash flow forecasts, as well as monthly VAT returns.
  • Preparation of information for external accountants for statutory accounts is also a key aspect of this role.
Requirements:
  • A full driving license and access to a car is essential due to the remote location.
  • The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in agriculture and farming, and enjoy the countryside lifestyle.
  • Previous payroll experience, particularly with Excel and Xero, is highly desirable.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications or similar experience are necessary for this role.
  • Sound knowledge of statutory accounts preparation and process implementation is also required.
  • Some experience of managing staff and delegating tasks is essential.
