Senior JavaScript Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior JavaScript Developer to join our team in Billericay, working two days a week on-site and three days from home. As a Senior JavaScript Developer, you will take ownership of projects within an Agile development environment, focusing on development to evolve and scale existing platforms and work on new Greenfield projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of projects and manage all aspects of the frontend stack to produce high-quality Progressive Web Applications and Websites.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to ensure technical feasibility and optimise applications for speed and scalability.
  • Build reusable code and libraries, and proactively analyse and suggest improvements.
  • Provide mentoring and support to junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Strong JavaScript experience and knowledge of other web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, SASS, REST APIs, and GraphQL.
  • Experience in mentoring and technical project leadership.
  • Good understanding of browser rendering behaviour and performance.
  • Appreciation of UI/UX design.
  • Experience working on high-performance/high-traffic websites, with eCommerce experience a plus.
  • Collaborative and excellent communication skills.
