Job Title: Senior Electrical Power Distribution Expert

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team as an Apprentice Electrical Design Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on electrical and automation products for Naval and Commercial Marine customers.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and verify Power Distribution Systems and Equipment to meet technical specifications.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers to ensure a holistic design process.
  3. Present technical information and design specifications during the design review process.
  4. Support the manufacture and testing of electrical products through to delivery.
  5. Represent the company at customer, supplier, and operator sites as necessary, with occasional travel requirements.
  6. Author technical documentation, reports, schedules, and schematics.
Requirements:
  1. Education: A degree in the electrical field or equivalent, with experience in electrical design techniques.
  2. Knowledge: Possess knowledge of AC and DC electrical power distribution systems, their components, and sub-assemblies.
  3. Problem Solving: Proactively identify issues and independently apply problem-solving techniques to manage them to resolution.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication/influencing skills to articulate ideas, plans, and priorities effectively.
  5. Teamwork: Ability to work individually and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications:
  1. Possess a sound working knowledge of marine and electrical standards and regulations, such as Class Society rules, IEC61439, and Def Stans.
  2. Be professionally registered as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer or working towards gaining a professional status.
  3. Have experience in design software like AutoCAD electrical to generate electrical schematics.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
