ERP Project Manager Job Description

Focus Cloud is seeking a highly skilled ERP Project Manager to support the successful delivery of a complex ERP programme involving the implementation of multiple ERP platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed project plans, outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements for the implementation of ERP systems.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of the project, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple ERP platforms to ensure alignment with the overall programme strategy and business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business leaders, SMEs, and technical teams, to ensure alignment of project objectives.
  • Act as the point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular meetings and presentations to provide project updates, status reports, and to escalate issues when necessary.
  • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to programme standards and best practices.
  • Identify, monitor, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to the Programme Director and steering committees, ensuring transparency and alignment on key decisions.
  • Hold team members and stakeholders accountable for meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
  • Address delays, bottlenecks, or performance issues with a proactive approach, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and performance excellence within the project team.
  • Lead and coordinate a cross-functional project team, including internal staff and external consultants, to ensure cohesive delivery of project activities.
  • Provide direction and support to project team members, fostering collaboration and a results-oriented approach.
  • Ensure efficient resource allocation and manage workload distribution to optimize productivity.
  • Support the change management process to ensure smooth adoption of new ERP systems and processes by the business.
  • Develop and implement communication plans to keep stakeholders informed of project progress, changes, and critical milestones.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they are prepared for the transition to new ERP platforms.
Key Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale ERP implementations, managing complex, multi-platform projects.
  • Previous IFS ERP related project experiences is desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project governance frameworks and drive compliance with best practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with a track record of engaging effectively with business leaders and SMEs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure.
  • Experience in holding team members accountable for deliverables and driving performance improvements.
  • A well-spoken, confident communicator who can engage effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven.

Salary – up to £1000 per day (DOE, Outside IR35)

Location – Southwest England, UK | Hybrid - 2 days per week on site
