Senior Principal Designer/CDM Advisor

Thorn Baker Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Designer/CDM Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our consultancy, you will provide expert advice and guidance to clients on fulfilling their CDM duties, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit F10s, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Design risk management and liaison with design teams to identify key hazards, mitigating risks and ensuring a safe working environment
  • Collate and manage pre-construction information, ensuring seamless project delivery
  • Liaise with construction teams to ensure ongoing exchange of health and safety information, promoting a culture of safety
  • Prepare health and safety files, construction phase health and safety plans, and method statements
  • Conduct site health and safety inspections, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience within the construction industry, with a strong background in design risk management and CDM
  • PD/CDM professional qualifications, with a NEBOSH General Certificate and/or Construction Certificate desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, design teams, and construction personnel
  • A full driving licence and own transport, with occasional travel required
