Senior Principal Designer/CDM Advisor

Thorn Baker Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Designer/CDM Advisor to join their team. As a key member of the construction consultancy, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on CDM duties, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice and guidance on CDM duties to clients
  • Prepare and submit F10s, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Identify and manage design risks, collaborating with design teams to mitigate hazards
  • Collate and manage pre-construction information, ensuring seamless project delivery
  • Liaise with construction teams to ensure effective health and safety information exchange
  • Prepare and maintain health and safety files, ensuring up-to-date information
  • Assess and prepare construction phase health and safety plans, ensuring compliance
  • Conduct site health and safety inspections, identifying areas for improvement
  • Prepare method statements and risk assessments, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience within the construction industry, with a focus on design risk management
  • PD/CDM professional qualifications, with a strong understanding of industry regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and construction teams
  • NEBOSH General Certificate and/or Construction Certificate, with a strong understanding of health and safety principles
