Sustainable Procurement Director

Maxim Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Associate Director Sustainable Procurement to join their team in Edinburgh. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for leading teams and programmes to help clients meet their social and environmental targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide sustainable procurement management and insights across multiple projects and commissions.
- Lead project teams and play a key role in large global transformation programmes.
- Manage and guide colleagues as they work on client projects and commissions.
- Identify, design, deliver, and continually improve clients' environmental performance to meet targets across key sustainability themes.
- Develop and lead the sustainable procurement services and propositions.
- Contribute to business generation of sustainable procurement opportunities.
- Previous procurement consulting experience from a client, contractor, or professional services organisation.
- Experience of embedding ISO Sustainable Procurement into procurement operations is desirable.
- Strong project team management ethos and ability to lead delivery and transformation programmes.
- Understanding of wider ESG legislative and regulatory environments is desirable.
- Confident, independent, and able to work autonomously.
- Ability to manage work/business development/career development activities.
- Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply or higher.
