About the Role

We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our team as Support Practitioners in Aberdeen.

You will be part of a dedicated team supporting individuals with complex learning and physical disabilities who live in their own shared home.

Your main aim will be to support each individual with their day-to-day needs, including personal care, shopping, finances, cooking, housework, and medication.

You will also have the opportunity to support each individual's hobbies and interests, such as music, films, in-house activities, and day trips.

About You

We welcome applications from individuals who are willing to learn and develop their skills in this rewarding role.

You will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team.

As the individuals we support have barriers to communication, you will need to have an excellent grasp and understanding of spoken and written English.

We Offer

We will provide you with the training and support you need to succeed in this role.

We will also fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees.

Shift Patterns

As we provide around-the-clock support, shift patterns may include early mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.

However, we are open to discussing flexible working arrangements to meet your needs.

Please Note

We are unable to work around a university or college timetable for contracted posts.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare.
