Job Title: Special Education Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Support Assistant to join our team. As a Special Education Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Senior Learning Support Assistants and Teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of students.
  • Provide one-to-one support and guidance to students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Monitor and record student progress, using evidence-based methods to inform teaching practices and improve student outcomes.
  • Facilitate student learning by creating a safe and supportive environment that encourages independence, self-confidence, and a love of learning.
  • Work closely with the class Teacher and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system for students.
Requirements:
  • Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred, but not required.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their educational and personal growth.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
