About the Role

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as a Strategic Finance Business Lead. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the council's Place & Sustainability directorate, providing financial expertise and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of finance professionals to deliver a high-quality finance business partnering function, managing finances across the whole financial cycle, from budget setting to accounts production.
  • Work alongside the Head of Finance and other strategic business partners to shape the work of the finance service, providing strategic guidance and support to executive directors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with directors and services, building a culture of strong financial management across the team and services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders. We offer a competitive salary, up to £65,000 per annum, plus benefits such as additional annual leave, flexible bank holidays, and opportunities for development and growth.
