Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Maintenance Technician to join our team at First Military Recruitment Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified individual to work with a range of material handling equipment and provide top-notch service to our clients.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing material handling equipment, including forklifts, side loaders, and reach trucks. You will use market-leading fleet management systems to complete parts orders, job sheets, and warranty work. Your primary goal will be to provide a best-in-class customer experience for our business customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Servicing, maintenance, and repair of material handling equipment, including forklifts, side loaders, and reach trucks.
  • Using market-leading fleet management system to complete parts orders, job sheets, and warranty work.
  • Providing a best-in-class customer experience for business customers.
  • Book all planned maintenance with customers.
  • Agree workload with Field Service Team Leader, prioritizing as follows: SG fleet, chargeable services, key accounts (national accounts, regional major accounts), support patch engineers.
  • Ensure all chargeable services are completed.
  • Ensure all fleet servicing is completed by the end of the month.
  • Ensure daily telephone contact with Operations Controller to cover specifically: service completion, estimate requests, damage requests, clearing out WIP, carry out lifting equipment examinations as and when required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in material handling equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at £33,000 - £36,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and opportunities for career growth.
