Data Analyst for HR and People

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our HR and People team at Royal Mail Group. The successful candidate will assist in generating and maintaining HR reports, dashboards, and data analysis for internal stakeholders. This will involve monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of current reporting and adapting and amending reporting to ensure the reports meet customer's needs.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced level Excel skills, experience in data analytics and maintenance, and a strong attention to detail and focus on data accuracy. They will also have a basic understanding of HR and recruitment practices, the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, and experience with SAP HCM or similar systems is a plus.
As a Data Analyst for HR and People, you will play a pivotal role in driving employee engagement, organisational success, and fostering a positive work environment. You will be responsible for supporting the collection, maintenance, and analysis of HR and people data, and contributing to the creation of new metrics and insights to improve HR processes and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in generating and maintaining HR reports, dashboards, and data analysis for internal stakeholders
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of current reporting and adapt and amend reporting to ensure the reports meet customer's needs
- Support data analysis and the creation of new metrics and insights to improve HR processes and workforce planning
- Assist with identifying trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement, contribute to providing actionable insights to enhance our resourcing strategies and candidate engagement
- Collaborate with the team to ensure reporting is aligned with business objectives
