About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Radiographer to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As an Advanced Imaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services to patients across Worcestershire and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work independently as a Radiographer to deliver high-quality imaging services, performing a wide range of examinations within protocols and ensuring patient safety.
  • Liaise effectively with multi-disciplinary colleagues, patients, and carers as required.
  • Triage referrals from various sources, manage clinical priorities according to agreed protocols, working practices, and KPIs.
  • Work autonomously to deliver individualized direct patient care, maintaining up-to-date clinical competence and highest professional standards.
  • Practice within a risk-benefit framework, having regard to the biological effects of radiation and IRMER legislation where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Recent experience in General, A&E, Mobile, and Theatre radiography, including single-handed and out-of-hours working.
  • State registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Degree or Diploma of the College of Radiographers accepted for registration with the HCPC.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Flexible attitude to departmental duties, good interpersonal skills, high professional standards, ability to work within and lead a small team as required, and remain calm under pressure.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £45,155 - £65,670 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including annual leave, pension scheme, and access to staff health and wellbeing initiatives.
