The ClientWith over 40 years of experience in the manufacture, import, and distribution of internal and external doors, our Client is a leading provider of innovative door designs. Their extensive collection of door designs is tailored to meet the needs of their customers, ensuring they provide high-quality, visually appealing, and technologically advanced products.
The RoleThe Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for optimizing the company's procurement and supply chain processes, ensuring that inventory is always stocked with the right quantity of products to meet demand.
The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting product demand, coordinating with suppliers, and overseeing inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage specific suppliers, including procurement of products.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, considering business ethics, cross-cultural, and global issues.
- Forecast product demand and manage inventory levels.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely product delivery.
- Oversee the procurement and supply chain processes.
- Develop and implement strategies for effective inventory management.
- Handle any supply chain issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Proven supply chain management experience in the UK and international wholesale market, with a working knowledge of importing goods, including currency and freight costs.
- Experience in purchasing products from the Far-East is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial acumen, including awareness of container configurations and loadability of products.
- Previous experience in preparing cost analysis.
- Strong inventory management background.
