The ClientWith over 40 years of experience in the manufacture, import, and distribution of internal and external doors, our Client is a leading provider of innovative door designs. Their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has earned them a reputation as a trusted partner in the industry.
The RoleThe Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for optimizing the company's procurement and supply chain processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. This will involve forecasting product demand, coordinating with suppliers, and overseeing inventory management.
Key Responsibilities- Manage specific suppliers, including procurement of products, to ensure timely delivery and optimal costs.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, taking into account business ethics, cross-cultural, and global issues.
- Forecast product demand and manage inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely product delivery and resolve any supply chain issues that may arise.
- Oversee the procurement and supply chain processes to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies for effective inventory management, including container configurations and loadability of products.
- Prepare cost analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Ensure strong inventory management practices are in place to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, with a working knowledge of importing goods, including currency and freight costs.
- Specific experience in purchasing products from the Far-East would be an advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen, including awareness of container configurations and loadability of products.
- Previous experience in preparing cost analysis.
