The Role

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our Longhurst contract team at Fortem Cares. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out predominantly reactive maintenance, repairing and renewing sections on a wide variety of different roof types, including slate tile repairs, flat roof / torch on repairs and general roof maintenance.

The Project

You will ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision, carry out fault diagnosis and communicate additional works required back to your Supervisor/Line Managers to ensure all follow-on works have been captured, leaving the resident assured. You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential Criteria:

  • PASMA trained and experience of carrying out scaffold inspections (training will be provided if you do not have this)
  • Good knowledge of H&S and working at height
  • Certificate or NVQ in Roofing, or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Past experience in a Responsive Repairs role
