Job Summary

The Senior Personal Assistant will provide comprehensive office and administrative support to the members of the Senior Management Team within the Blood Supply Directorate. This role requires a highly organized and efficient individual who can manage multiple tasks and priorities with ease.

Main Duties
  • Manage the diaries of senior team members, prioritizing meetings and appointments as necessary.
  • Organize conferences, events, and training courses, including liaising with speakers, sourcing venues, and inviting participants.
  • Provide administrative support to NHSBT projects and interviews.
  • Work independently, exercising initiative to organize workload within defined deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Gather data from various sources, produce reports, analysis, and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Develop successful working relationships with directors, senior managers, external agencies, and key stakeholders.
  • Respond to new demands in the role and build responses into sustainable systems and activities.
About You

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual who can provide exceptional administrative support to our senior team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

  • Experience in using various IT packages, including Outlook, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
  • Good basic knowledge of relevant statutory directives, including the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, and Equality and Diversity Directive.
  • Ability to analyze and present a wide range of management information.
