Housekeeping Assistant Role


We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Bupa, a leading health insurer and provider. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our residents.


The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of infection control, COSSH and compliance standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the facility are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, including common areas, resident rooms, and communal spaces.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Ensure that all areas of the facility are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Operate vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet shampooers.
  • Empty bins regularly.
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
  • Clean carpets and upholstery, and wash woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Wash, dry, and iron resident clothing, bedding, and communal laundry.
  • Report all safety hazards to management, ensuring Health and Safety standards and COSSH are adhered to at all times.

Requirements:



  • Experience in a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role.
  • Basic understanding of infection control, COSSH, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, across functions, and services.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment.
