Senior Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse/Community Psychiatric Nurse to join our expanding Crisis Home Treatment Team in Sandwell. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients and their relatives to provide high-quality, safe care and support.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering a range of support services to patients and their relatives
- Working effectively with a full multidisciplinary team to develop and provide high-quality care
- Providing intensive levels of support to prevent hospital admissions and facilitate early discharge
- Managing acute mental illness and providing strong clinical leadership
- Participating in audit processes and contributing to service development

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will possess:
- Education/Qualification: RMN, current registration, evidence of continued development
- Experience: managing acute mental illness, previous Band 5 post, case management, strong clinical leadership, audit processes
- Knowledge: Mental Health Act, Mental Health/Diagnosis, Risk Assessment, Capacity/DolS/ Infection Control
- Skills/Personal Qualities: Interpersonal skills, willingness for professional development, ability to manage emergency situations, self-motivated
