We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at ECO Magazine. As a Research Scientist, you will play a key role in advancing our understanding of the ocean's carbon cycle and water quality, with a focus on human health.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in oceanography or a related field, with expertise in satellite data processing and modeling. You will be responsible for carrying out research within our Earth Observation-Science team, using remote sensing to study the ocean carbon cycle and water quality. You will also have the opportunity to bring your own ideas into the projects, while staying within the overall objectives.

We are looking for a versatile and dynamic individual with a keen interest in scientific writing and leading manuscripts for publication. You will have experience with developing computer code and dealing with big data, as well as good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oceanography, with a focus on the ocean carbon cycle and water quality. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out research within our Earth Observation-Science team, using remote sensing to study the ocean carbon cycle and water quality.

  • Contribute to the development of new research projects and initiatives, with a focus on advancing our understanding of the ocean's carbon cycle and water quality.
  • Collaborate with our senior scientific research team members to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
  • Communicate complex scientific information to both technical and non-technical audiences, through publications and outreach activities.
