We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our team at Simpson Recruitment Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales ledgers for three companies, ensuring prompt customer payments, and maintaining relationships with internal departments and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales ledgers for three companies, including entering cash receipts, allocating payments, and maintaining customer account details.
- Conduct credit checks for new customers and set appropriate credit limits.
- Produce monthly statements and chase overdue accounts through calls and letters.
- Initiate legal action for overdue accounts when necessary.
- Generate monthly debtor reports and cash target sheets, ensuring targets are met.
- Resolve customer invoice queries and reconcile month-end receipts.
- Calculate rebates, consignment stock invoices, and process credit card payments.
- Liaise with credit reference agencies when required.
- Perform ad hoc duties, such as maintaining rental records, reconciling bank accounts, providing payroll holiday cover, and processing employee expenses.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar credit control role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with customers and internal departments.
- Ability to take full ownership of responsibilities and tasks.
Benefits:
- Hybrid working with 1-2 days at home per week, one of which is a Friday.
- A salary of up to £28,000 per annum.
