We are seeking a Highway Engineer to join the City Area Highways team and take responsibility for the management of the C1 sector of the Norfolk Highways infrastructure.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and continual improvement of their allocated sector, including line management of a team of engineers and technicians to deliver service targets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and improvement of highways infrastructure
  • Line management of engineers and technicians
  • Inspection, identification, planning and budget control of highway maintenance
  • Public liaison function for the area

Requirements:

To be considered for the role, you will need a good understanding of highway maintenance and engineering principles, proven experience in putting them into practice, and experience managing a team as well as managing third-party suppliers.
