About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Fundraising and Events Manager to join our team at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. As a key member of our Community Fundraising and Events Team, you will play a vital role in delivering fundraising income, recruiting and supporting volunteer and community fundraising supporters, engaging and supporting volunteers and colleagues in the wider organisation, and promoting Hearing Dogs in line with our strategy, standards and supporting plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to meet income targets and support the charity's mission.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community groups, volunteers, and supporters to promote Hearing Dogs and secure fundraising opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Community Fundraising and Events Team to deliver events, campaigns, and projects that engage and inspire supporters.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to volunteers, donors, and stakeholders, ensuring a positive experience for all.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the charity's community fundraising and events strategy, aligning with the overall organisational strategy.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in community fundraising, events management, or a related field, with a strong track record of delivering income targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet changing priorities.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Computer literate with MS365 applications and experience of databases, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
