Job Description

At Zipabout, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the frontend of our product, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Frontend Development: Develop and maintain the frontend web views powering our product, utilizing advanced JavaScript and ES6+ skills.
  • API Integration: Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring a robust and scalable architecture.
  • Visual Design: Deliver pixel-perfect visual code, adhering to our style guide and ensuring consistency across the product.
  • Workflow Management: Manage workflow with project managers to ensure smooth delivery and meet project deadlines.
  • Code Quality: Contribute to the general standard of front-end within the company, taking ownership of improving and maintaining code to a high standard.
  • Testing: Thoroughly review own and peer's tests, minimizing issues picked up by the team.
  • UX Collaboration: Work with the UX design team to ensure the frontend views are consistent with the style guide.
Vital Experience
  • Advanced JavaScript and ES6+: 3+ years of experience with advanced JavaScript and ES6+ skills, especially React.
  • HTML5 and SCSS: Advanced knowledge of HTML5 and SCSS, with excellent attention to detail.
  • AWS Lambda and CloudWatch: Knowledge of AWS Lambda and CloudWatch is desirable but not required.
  • Version Control: Experience with version control, utilizing Git.
  • RESTful APIs: Working knowledge of RESTful APIs.
  • Unit Testing: Experience writing unit tests to build robust code, utilizing React Testing Library and Jest.
  • Scalability and Maintainability: Knowledge of writing code with scalability, readability, and maintainability in mind.
  • Chatbot Experience: Experience working with a chatbot would be beneficial.
Location

We operate a hybrid working environment, allowing you to work from home or in the office. However, you will be required to attend the office 2-3 times a week, based in the Midlands, Solihull. You must be UK-based, as applications from outside the UK cannot be considered.
