Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Science Department Coordinator to join our team in supporting the delivery of practical science lessons across biology, chemistry, and physics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Preparation: Prepare and set up equipment, materials, and chemicals for science lessons and demonstrations, ensuring that everything is ready for practical sessions.
  • Experiment Assistance: Assist teachers in delivering practical experiments, helping students as needed and ensuring experiments run smoothly and safely.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly maintain and clean laboratory equipment, ensuring that all tools, glassware, and apparatus are in good working order.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all science laboratories, including the correct storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for science education. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a laboratory setting and be familiar with health and safety protocols.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
