We're seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer Assistant to join our Transportation team at Kier Group. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in the successful delivery of traffic engineering schemes.

Your day-to-day will involve assisting with the planning, development, and implementation of traffic engineering schemes, as well as developing and producing detailed AutoCad drawings.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Civil Engineering, with experience in traffic engineering or highway design. You'll also need to have a basic understanding of traffic/highway design principles and be proficient in AutoCAD, Keysign, Keyline, and AutoTrack software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning, development, and implementation of traffic engineering schemes
  • Develop and produce detailed AutoCad drawings
  • Prepare bills of quantities, inspection and test plans, and suitable scheme pre-construction information
  • Work with other designers to develop technical designs in accordance with approved design procedures and systems
