Data-Driven Audit Specialist Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Data-Driven Audit Specialist to join our Behavioural Risk team at CV Library. As a key member of our Internal Audit sector, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of empirical scientific research methods.

In this role, you will lead and manage data science and behavioural science colleagues, shaping high-profile evidence-based and data-led pieces of insight that provide assurance to senior executives on our assets and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborating with audit experts to understand critical business assurance and sustainability questions.

    ">
  2. Working closely with a diverse group of talented behavioural and data scientists to identify opportunities for innovation, gather resources, and own implementation.

    ">
  3. Guiding more junior colleagues in designing feasible research approaches, executing, and interpreting insights.

    ">
  4. Staying up-to-date with the latest applied empirical science methods and applications, as well as analysis and workflow management technology.

    ">
  5. Sharing knowledge of empirical social science behavioural insight where possible.

    ">

Requirements:

">
  • Extensive relevant technical and research leadership experience.

    ">
  • An academic degree in a social science discipline with a strong quantitative analysis element or proven equivalent track record.

    ">
  • Experience in empirical social science design and execution, covering statistics, causal inference, and data science.

    ">
  • Knowledge of large-scale business data handling, such as databases and SQL, would be beneficial.

    ">
  • A strong understanding of retail banking, financial markets, and code development and quality assurance practices like Git, GitLab, and GitHub.

    ">
  • Enterprise-level coding experience including object-oriented programming, ideally using Python.

    ">
  • Experience in drawing conclusions from different primary and secondary data sources.

    ">
  • Ability to role-model, support, and supervise through coaching, feedback, and development.

    ">

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum.
