About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English tutor to join our team at Fleet Education Services. As a GCSE English tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners who require dedicated, in-person support to achieve their academic goals.

Your expertise will be instrumental in improving the self-confidence and subject knowledge of your learners, ultimately re-engaging them with education and providing a positive learning outcome.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create engaging lesson plans and deliver tuition that inspires and teaches.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with learners' guardians/teachers to ensure academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other complex requirements.
