Key Responsibilities- Implement and monitor health and safety policies and programs to ensure a safe workplace.
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures to minimize hazards.
- Organize and conduct training sessions on health and safety practices and regulations for staff.
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions and report findings to management.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle workers' compensation claims.
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures.
- Participate in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques.
- Assist with other operational administrative tasks as needed to support the overall efficiency of the facility.
- You are an aspiring health and safety professional, possibly with up to one year of experience or even newly certified.
- You hold a NEBOSH certification or are in the process of certification, demonstrating your foundational knowledge and commitment to health and safety practices.
- You possess a keen interest in learning and growing within the field, with a proactive attitude towards enhancing workplace safety.
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities are key, as you'll collaborate across teams to implement safety protocols and manage administrative duties.
- Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.
- Able to motivate others, ask questions, and engage effectively to promote safety awareness.
