Key Responsibilities:- Support the day-to-day activities in the nursery, including play, learning, and meal times.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their confidence and independence.
- Work collaboratively with nursery staff and teachers to maintain a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Assist with the preparation and tidying of the nursery or classroom, ensuring a clean and organised space.
- Observe and monitor children's progress, contributing to records and reports as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on their child's development and well-being.
Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable. A caring, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting children's development is essential. Relevant childcare qualifications (such as NVQ Level 2 or 3) are beneficial but not essential. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is required.
