Early Years Practitioner Room Leader

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Years Practitioner Room Leader to lead a team of practitioners and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the room.

About the Role

As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in creating a positive and engaging atmosphere for children aged 2-5 years old. Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, observing and assessing children's progress, and liaising with parents and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement engaging and educational activities for children aged 2-5 years old
  • Lead a team of practitioners and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the room
  • Observe and assess children's progress and develop strategies to support their learning
  • Liaise with parents and other staff members to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Support the professional development of team members and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a Room Leader or similar role
  • Sound knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and regulations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector
