Suedheide Geniessen is a leading provider of high-quality childcare services, committed to delivering exceptional experiences for children and their families. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Room Leader to join our team at our Merchant Square nursery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring a high-quality learning environment for children.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of children's progress, including planning and learning journeys.
  • Assume deputy responsibilities in the absence of the deputy manager, providing leadership and support to the team.
  • Support and mentor room staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the nursery environment, resources, and experiences meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene.
  • Stay up-to-date with current developments in childcare and education policies and practices, applying this knowledge to inform practice.
  • Ensure the nutritional needs of children are met, and Food Safety Regulations are complied with.

Requirements

  • A minimum Level 3 childcare qualification, with a passion for ongoing professional development.
  • Prior experience as a Room Leader, with a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
  • A positive role model, with the ability to inspire and motivate children and staff.
  • A commitment to working for an organization that values individuality and creativity.
  • A desire to join a large group that maintains an independent feel, with opportunities for career progression and professional growth.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS, with the ability to apply this in a practical setting.
