Based at our Netherseal site, you will be responsible for leading a team of support staff in providing high-quality care and support to our customers. As a senior healthcare professional, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the shift, prioritising, planning and delegating activities for the support team.
Company OverviewNewlands House is a specialist care home for 35 people with physical disabilities. Our home has a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
We are looking for an experienced registered nurse to join our team, who can demonstrate effective nursing practice in all basic registered nurse procedures. The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of nursing theory and best practice at the level of a qualified nurse.
SalaryThe estimated salary for this role is £29,000-£42,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus enhancements for night shifts, weekend work, and sleep-ins. A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Sunday, and a weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Job DescriptionThis exciting opportunity is for a Registered Nurse to work within our highly regarded team. You will be responsible for promoting independence and choice for our customers, while providing the highest standards of nursing, clinical and personal support. As part of our team, you will lead a team of support staff and ensure the smooth and efficient management of the shift, prioritising, planning and delegating activities for the support team.
- You will be a registered nurse (current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council).
- You will have thorough and up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice at the level of a qualified nurse (level 5).
- You will be able to demonstrate effective nursing practice in all basic registered nurse procedures.
- You will work flexibly within rostered hours and on-call rota as required.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice at the level of a qualified nurse (level 5).
- Ability to demonstrate effective nursing practice in all basic registered nurse procedures.
