RSK Group is seeking an Environmental Response Technician to join our team in the UK. As an Environmental Response Technician, you will be responsible for responding to environmental incidents, assessing pollution risks, and applying techniques for containing and recovering contaminants.
Key Responsibilities- Environmental Incident Response: Rapidly respond to environmental incidents in urban and rural settings, assessing and mitigating pollution risks.
- Contamination Assessment and Recovery: Proactively assess pollution risks and apply techniques for containing and recovering oils or other contaminants of concern.
- Tank Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct tank inspections and perform leakproof testing to ensure the integrity of storage facilities.
- Site Support: Provide general site support under the supervision of project managers, team leaders, or senior colleagues, including groundworks, environmental monitoring, and sample collection.
- Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Perform routine care, maintenance, and calibration of equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Stock Management and Administration: Manage stock levels and maintain accurate site notes, adhering to RSK Group's management systems and health and safety protocols.
- Full, Clean Driving License: Essential for travel and site visits.
- Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is essential for administrative tasks.
- Utilities/Civil/Construction Site Experience: Desirable for site operations and project management.
- Excavator/Dumper Experience/Certification: Desirable for site operations and equipment management.
- Basic Project Management Experience: Desirable for project coordination and site management.
- BSc in Relevant Environmental Field: Desirable for in-depth knowledge of environmental principles and practices.
- CSCS and First Aid Certification: Desirable for site safety and health protocols.
- Salary up to £29,000: Depending on experience.
