Why You Should Consider This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sigma Recruitment Ltd as an Environmental Specialist, where you will play a key role in driving environmental sustainability and compliance across the organization.

As an Environmental Specialist, you will be responsible for communicating environmental compliance matters to employees at all levels, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and maintaining environmental management systems.

You will also conduct environmental audits and inspections, analyze results, and make recommendations to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

Additionally, you will investigate environmental incidents, maintain environmental records, and deputize for the department manager when needed.

What You Will Need

To be successful in this role, you will need experience as an environmental advisor, officer, or engineer in a technical or manufacturing setting. A degree-level qualification in an environmental, scientific, or engineering discipline is highly desirable.

Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards such as ISO:14001 and ISO:50001 is essential.

What You Will Receive

As an Environmental Specialist, you will receive a competitive salary of £35,000-£40,000 (dependent on experience) plus pension, private medical, and other benefits.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm and Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.
