About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support our Dependency & Recovery service in Coventry. As a Group Support Volunteer, you will play an instrumental role in assisting our Coordinators with planning and preparation of group sessions.

Our team is dedicated to supporting individuals on probation impacted by substance misuse through psychosocial interventions delivered 1-to-1 and in group settings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Dependency and Recovery Coordinators in planning and preparing group sessions
  • Providing one-to-one support to service users within the group setting
  • Delivering some groups under the guidance of Coordinators, eventually taking the lead

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a positive impact in their community. You will receive comprehensive training and support to excel in this role.

Please note that all volunteers are required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and Enhanced Level 1 vetting for the National Prisons & Probation service.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £9.50 per hour, providing an estimated annual salary of approximately £14,000 - £16,000, depending on the number of hours worked. Our commitment to your development includes access to regular training sessions and ongoing support.
