Marketing Assistant

Bloomsbury Publishing Plc is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our Academic and Professional Division. As a key member of our marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the marketing of our books and online services to Law and Tax professional and academic communities.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for marketing and a strong understanding of the academic and professional publishing industry. You will be responsible for assisting the team with daily tasks, including creating marketing materials, planning social media activity, and managing book reviewer contacts. You will also be required to work on ad hoc projects as requested by the team.

We are looking for someone with excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, is essential. An eye for design and creating visual content is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the marketing team with daily tasks, including creating marketing materials and planning social media activity
  • Manage book reviewer contacts and outreach

  • Support the team with administrative tasks, including updating the Bloomsbury and Bloomsbury Professional websites

Requirements:

  • Passionate about marketing and the academic and professional publishing industry
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • An eye for design and creating visual content
