About the Role

The Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Social Care Officer to join our team. As a key member of our care delivery team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the provision of person-centred care with holistic support to individuals in a community or residential setting.
  • Develop, record, implement, and review personal care and support plans in partnership with service users.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote equality and choice for all.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service and the organisation.

Requirements

  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of employment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Working Arrangements

  • Shift pattern: Early and late shifts.
  • Minimum of two references required, one of which must be from your current or most recent employer.

  • This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act.
  • The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
